Peru is the 2nd largest copper producer global, 2nd in copper reserves worldwide and ranks 5th in global mining investment. Mining in Peru contributes to 12% of the country’s GDP and 60% of its export revenue. The Jasperoide Project covers approximately 30,000 hectares square kilometres in Southern Peru. Access is by primary and secondary roads from the regional capital of Cusco. The average elevation at the Jasperoide site is 4,300m, located on a gently rolling plateau. Previous exploration has identified copper and gold mineralization in a magnetite skarn with a classic hydrothermal alteration signature of an underlying copper porphyry system.
